Meeting re car parking charges

Just to keep you updated on the car parking charges, we the unions met with the Executives on Monday to push them into reversing their decision on these extortionate rises. The outcome is still awaited but the impression is they will not be moved, in respect of that the unions have decided to call a meeting of all staff in the Inspire Centre on Friday 11 May at 13.30 to discuss the next steps. To have any mandate we need to have your support so if you can make the meeting it will help us determine how far you would like us to go.

Can I make it clear that we will not be asking you to vote on strike action, but we do need your support to go ahead with asking the members to work to rule or similar. In the meantime if any of you can write to Henry Bellingham our MP to state your objections to being taxed to come to work that will also help get the message out to the wider audience.
